Drive mode selector
Does anyone know if it possible to set the drive selector to say sports + mode, and have it stay in that mode? I not a fan of having to select it every time I start the engine.
Not possible. It's an emissions/efficiency thing; Lexus would have to put a lower mpg on the sticker if they allowed that capability. Lexus had the car tested where it will default to Normal or Eco in order to post higher figures. Seems like no one has been able to hack the system to stay in Sport of Sport+.

I can't see anyone buying the fsport model, and worrying about fuel consumption!
Haha that's true...but I'm sure some potential buyers would avoid the F-sport package if they saw lower mpg figures (even 1 mpg), especially if the performance is the same.

I did. I could not afford the Mercedes GLA45. I liked the Audi Q3 the best but there was not a vehicle that met what I was looking for and was in my prices range. It came down to the Lexus NX and Lincoln MKC 2.3. I liked the MXC powertrain, but the flat, soft seats offered no support and the push button transmission controls were out of the mid 1960's. I like the NX but it really needs about 40 more hp for a vehicle of it's weight. I typically prefer a sedan but the wife and I needed a small SUV for several road trips planned this year and next, and the NX has proven to be ideal for this use.
In the mean time I traded with my wife with her C 350

Small turbo engines do take some getting used to, especially in heavy vehicles like CUV's. Their strength is in the mid range where the boost is nice for merging, passing etc. While I prefer a smooth V6, they are becoming rare in this type of vehicle.
It isn't available for the US trims. So dchar, you can turn that thing 100000 times, and you're still not going to get Sport +. Unless you perhaps imported a Canadian mode.

Nothing about the NX ever screamed "look how fast I am!!". Its slow, but its efficient for what most people need.
