Smile New order planning nx

Have '07 es350 w/ nav. Ordering nx w/o nav. Anyone have comments on nav thru iPhone 6 w turn by turn nav or however else it works. Want to spend nav $2,000 on safety features like blind spot monitoring, lane departure.

I just traded in a 2015 RX sport design base model on a NX f-sport series 2 because I got fed up with not having features such as the nav, and back up / front sensors when I needed it. I had been using my iPhone 6 with the Navigon app as I thought I wouldn't miss it coming from a Ford Flex ecoboost Limited which had it, and I found it a pita to use, especially if you wanted to set your nav quickly if you made a wrong turn or needed to take a detour. For example I can now just tell the voice control to take me home.

Thanks, Dave, but does your new nx have the navigation $2'000 option or are you using the nav that comes with the car, voice con and, just want to make sure. Thanks

In Canada there are two options for the f-sport; the series 1 and series 2. I can't find anything about a $2000 nav option on the Lexus.ca site. The only nav options seem to be included in the packages. I have the series 2 which adds numerous features over the series 1. I don't think we really get to pick and choose the options here, besides stuff like the trailer hitch option. The series 1 is around $9160 over the base sticker price and the series 2 is around $11,860 over the base price. The series 2 has all the options available including the adaptive variable suspension, heads up display, LKA, pre collision, and adaptive cruise control over the series 1.

I will say I have already used the nav multiple times and I am happy I have it. I do not know if there is a difference between the series 1 nav and series 2 nav.

The thing I find strange is that they'd don't keep the options and packages standard between the U.S and Canada.

EDIT. Looking at the site now the nav is described as: voice-activated SD card based navigation with remote touch.

Thanks Dave. I am considering just going with the standard turn by turn voice activated nav, not the option one. W
