Default Fog light mod

Has anyone found a way to have the fog lights come on with the parking lights? I did a quick search and only found a link for an ES mod, but nothing for a NX. It would be nice to have the fogs on with the parking lights only around dusk.

First, welcome to the forum!

I haven't seen anyone post a mod on this in this forum...yet.

Thanks,
I think it will involve a jumper on the back of the headlight switch with a separate toggle switch of some kind.

Just to clarify... when you say "parking lights" I assume you mean the "small" lights (malaysian nomenclature), just before the main headlights low beams come on? On my version, the headlight stalk goes from Auto, all the way at the bottom, to small lights, to main low beams. (push away to turn on high beams, pull to flash)

If thats the case, I would just leave my fog lights switch to the on position, as they come on when the small lights are turned on.

I am not sure how is the configuration of the lights in your country, but I have attached pictures of my car lights in an effort to seek clarity.

It looks like the amber parts in the rear of the headlight assembly are reflectors only and do not light up. Instead, the parking lights function is enabled by dimming the DRLs.

American "US" spec cars have amber marker side lights. No other country has those. Isn't the parking/side light/"small" light just the LED DRL dimmed? I don't think there are separate parker lights on the NX.
