yes you can do it , but please use something llike a "car repair removal tool kit " if you use a dril or something different you will damage your dash,this kit is cheap very cheap... and i use it

it seems between 10 and 12 inch , thetype is a flat speaker , but not very efficient ...il you want solid bass take a real" shallow mount subwoofer with an amplifier" and give it a good enclosure ....

yesterday, i have removed the head unit o see the wires as i have to add a "parking guideline rear camera" ( yes my car does not have it ) and some multimedia inputs before adding the Audiophile Pioneer DEXP/DEQP
For information , you will notice a LCD monitor branded 'PIONEER" and the HEad unit branded " FUJITSUTEN"

Jees..... Looking at your pictures reminds me of when I tore into the guts to install the nav lockout bypass. What a nightmare of cables and clips and brackets...

Im sorry to say. If your gonna just upgrade to some entry level speakers. It ain't gonna help much. Your sound stage won't be there. It's gonna sound like left and right. If your gonna upgrade get a proper set of 3 way speakers. Buy yourself a nice dsp, some nice amps and a sub. get a person that really knows how to tune your system. Otherwise jus add a small little sub and you'll notice your system will sound better. I haven't heard the nx 8 speaker system but I have a nx f sport 2 and I think I have the 10 speaker system by jus adding a real high end sub. My sound is noticeably better. I also disconnected the factory sub. The factory sub is useless.

i want to change the speaker too,but i will go with PRS PIONEER speakers ( TSC series or Stage 4) or Audison (my last car was with Thesis Audison )

I am an old IASCA French champion a few years ago ,and i always been in the car audio system ... i have to find some a-pillars for my project before .

Hi fellow NX owners,
Im planning to upgrade the speakers for my car. This is by far the worst sound system of any car I've owned and there is no Mark Levinson option available sadly. I have done some research but I've never DIY speakers before and I usually like to DIY myself but not sure how to tackle this. It seems Focal makes some factory replacement speakers for our cars, but reading some previous comments some say without a DSP (digital sound processor?) and an amplifier, changing speakers won't improve sound? My main issue with the factory premium 10-speaker system is clarity. I listen to mostly classical and some jazz so I don't really need much bass but the vocals just seem so....crap. Listening to Adele's new album was..painful in the NX compared to my other cars.
I am interested in Focals because I love their bright sound.
Anyone have any input? Will changing the 4 tweeters and 4 low frequency woofers in the doors improve clarity?
Im not looking for sound that matches the Burmeister in my Porsche or the BMW Individual in my M3, but just some improvement, cuz this is seriously some crap system. Just looking for improvement in clarity, don't really need any more bass.

I am not begining my installation , because i am waiting to be on hollydays, but only with a few minor upgrade with speaker , i have a good sound improvement.
ML or Burmesiter , these are not the same speakers you can see in their home systems ... an about their amplifier with HIFI they prone CLass A systems and they build Class D in cars : that is a non sense ... meanwhile they can sound good or very good ...for me it is only marketing with some midly quality speaker and a good amplifier but they sound good nothing else.
I am french and i do not love Focal ,not for the sound but for reliability , in my island it is very very hot with some humidity , and sometimes speakers have big big problems
(i remember my tweeter berylium destroying by the sun ...)This is why i am with pioneer STage 4 or ODR , or another option is Morel/dynaudio.
