I am planning on buying an NX for my wife. My dealer (in NJ) says no NX's with parking sensors are on the horizon. Has anyone been seeing them at their dealer? What state?
Yes, if you are talking about Parking Assist I test drove one in The Chicagoland area yesterday that had it on it, at least a 300h that had it. If you pull too close to something in the front or the rear a beeping goes off in the cabin to alert you. Not sure if it does more than that, i wasn't willing to get much closer in a car that I knew I wasn't buying do to color and options.
It came on my NX, and has been on every other NX I have seen at my dealer in Colorado Springs.
It does a lot more than beep. The Nav Screen and the LCD display near the speedometer both light up with a blue vehicle and yellow/red lines (4, 3, 2, 1Red) marking the distance in Front, Front Right, Front Left, Rear, Rear Right, Rear Left areas.

Or maybe they just think East Coast drivers don't care and are going to park like crazy people any way so why waste the tech on them! Just kidding east coast friends!!!
can you guys that have them see if it is IPA - for instance does the beeping change depending on how you turn your wheel? My GS would stop beeping if I turned the wheel so it would pass without scratching - this way I knew i had enough space, no matter how close i was.... my IS beeps no matter how i turn the wheel.
