Thought I was missing something. You said no suv can get over 40 mpg US EPA before.

 

it gets 10% worse mpg than IS300h under same testing... so around 35-36 MPG if we apply that to existing hybrids in Lexus USA.... of course, they are very different tests so it might not end up being 10% but thats probably our best guess right now and what we have been expecting all along.

These are not official numbers yet, they say "better than xxx MPG" right now, so it might change... official numbers are expected July 19th in Europe.

Their PR says that this hybrid gets 15% better fuel consumption than before but thats hard to really understand, all those PR's were in different languages and not sure what exactly is it "improved" from.

 

I think they should make the interior Rioja red like a IS250 FSPORT........I have the is fsport silver with Rioja red. I also wish to have the rx fsport on a Rioja red.......

 

Why they don't used Rioja red on all cars instead of boring black gray etc colors I have a 2013 450h benula gray with pearchment interior and just purchase a 2014 is 250 silver with Rioja red interior.....Don't understand why not here in SoCal they can't not keep the is250 fsport in stock long enought......

^^^ Isn't the 200t going to be available in later Q1 2015? If there's any hope, maybe the 200t F-Sport might have some of the features missing in the hybrid F-Sport.

 

It may do, fingers crossed lol! Apparently the 200t is only going to get 34 UK MPG which is about 3 mpg more than the IS250?! I was expecting atleast 40mpg from a 2 litre 4 pot!

IS300h is 20% more efficient than NX300h. So that likely means that IS200t will be 30% more efficient than IS250, plus lot more hp and torque for a lot more speed.

Q5 2.0TFSI is 35.7 MPG, this is likely going to be similar to that and Audi does not make any MPG difference between the base and top loaded models.

Unfortunately we have CO2 based taxes so Turbo will be around 16%-18% more expensive just due to taxes, this is why it wont be sold in some European countries - at some point it doesnt make much sense. Paying €6000 more in taxes would annoy me to no end.
