It was way more prominent on the pre refresh 3RX. My MIL has one and I don't even notice the beak anymore.

MIL? NVH? I'm thinking I'm in a military site. How about letting us pedestrian users in on it?

Thanks, I don't text so that is half the battle for me with acronyms. In fact I have it blocked on my cell.

NVH is why I replaced my 6-cylinder '07 RAV4 Limited with an almost-new (with just 15,000 miles on it) 2010 RX 450h. It was just too good a deal to pass up so I decided not to wait for the NX. I'll be very interested to know if the NX rides any better than a RAV4.

Thanks for these comparison shots of the current RX next to the new NX.

(FYI, Mr Frady sent these and even more photos over to Lexusenthusiast.com. Link : http://lexusenthusiast.com/2014/05/0...lexus-nx-300h/ )

I hate that "beak look". That's why I much prefer the RX in F Sport trim, or with the sport appearance package. Looks like the NX will be the same for me.

Same here. In pictures the front end on the NX is just too much for me. It's over styled (not in a good way) and too prominent for the rest of the car. Maybe I'll warm up to it, but not yet.

The more I see the front design, the more I feel it's a bit much.Especially on such a small vehicle.I don't like front design in looking at the front head on and even worse from the side.
I do have to see it on the street, though.

So in your face, sharp and aggressive. The NX is the Mako Shark of it's segment! Also seeing it with the Spindle that bore it, there's an appreciation that Lexus is embracing the new design language. The NX is far bolder than the current RX, which in comparison has a far more homely look. I expect the next RX will carry on the Spindle Torch with bold aggression and classy dynamics.

That's one way to look at it.

It is apparent that Lexus is going after a different buyer than in the past. Which is good if they want to expand the brands reach.

They have to be careful though. The RX is their bread and butter. It's going to be real interesting to see which way they go with the next gen RX/TX?

What is interesting is that the RX has had a name for itself for the past 15 years. They really could have made the next gen RX small (into an NX size) and then made a larger NX to fill the larger RX size. It would be a huge mistake for Lexus to make the RX into a 3 row crossover. It changes the identity of the whole model
