You should check out how much the ML is on the ES. Might be rethinking that figure

Let's not forget that we are talking about regular mark levinson surround, not the "reference" surround on the LS and LX. The regular ML is much cheaper

the 3000+ price tag of the ML on the ES must be a typo. the LS is 1500, the RX is 900

more importantly, IS is $1200.

On the US site I don't think I understand the ML pricing completely, and some vehicles have much better options. I guess RX will get the higher end system when the redesign hits?

$995 for 15 speaker 330 Watt system on RX
$1580 for 19 speaker 450 Watt system on LS
$3745 for 15 speaker 835 Watt system on ES
$3225 for 15 speaker 835 Watt system + Backup Camera + Navigation on IS

However, the IS system appears to be different than the one on the ES based on the description. I think overall there's just not a thorough enough description of the audio systems posted on the site to really understand the pricing difference from the ES to IS. Regardless, it seems to point to the ML system on the NX being a couple thousand at least.

getting ML is an SUV is not going to make a huge difference. There is too much space in the cabin and also no speakers behind the rear seats

A well engineered sound system in an SUV can make a big difference in sonic quality. I have heard this system and there is no comparison to the stock offering.

If Lexus truly wishes to compete they should at least make a effort to match what their competitors currently offer.

Random NX F-Sport Video from Club Lexus Russia. Shows Boost Meter and G-Sensor in action a little.

Just go a call from my Lexus dealership in Raleigh, NC and he said they just received confirmation that it would be December before they would be available. Suppose to begin making in Oct. 2014. For what it is worth???

Thanks for the heads up. Now I feel less torn about waiting until the spring, and I guess it's not too surprising that it won't be out until winter. Did the schedule slip a bit, or was I just making an assumption about when it was coming out? I'd understand, as they have to incorporate the feedback from this invaluable forum thread.

I have never really been that much of an audiophile. In fact I ordered my RX to have almost every option except for the ML. lol.

not sure if the B&O systems car audi has been putting in is worth it. The one in the Q5 is not the considered expensive, but the ones in their sedans which are like 6000 options is ridiculous, with the rising tweeters and all.

Remember the ML system in the NX will have Clari-Fi. That will surely add to the cost. Can't wait to see what prices and option packages are going to be. Fully loaded I bet it will hit around $50k.

I wouldn't be surprised either if a loaded NX came close to $50k. The competition can easily hit $50k and loaded ES UL's are very close to that number too. That's for a loaded model, I'm sure with less equipment they'll be in the high $30's and low to mid $40's.

That's about what I'm anticipating.
