Default gforce performance chip

does anyone know if this chip is worthwhile and will it affect Calif smog restrictions. I need to replace my stock disk brakes with a better performing one- Any recommendations? Anyone here know of a good shop in or near San Francisco specializing in mods for an SC?
i would appreciate any help from the group.

Welcome to the forums man... a quick search would answer all your questions. Stay away from chips. As far as brakes, you can do OEM LS400 brakes for the front, or you can do OEM Supra TT brakes as well.

Check out our NorCal Regional Section. I take my car to Exact Motorsports in Milpitas. They can help you out there.

I found this really old thread on those chips in an SC and it said they were smog legal. I personally wouldn't waste the money on one. Here is a link to that thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...-an-sc400.html

As far as brakes go, you can do the LS400/MKIV Supra OEM brake conversion. The 95-00 LS400 setup offers about the same performance as the Supra TT brakes but they cost less.
