I think the supra ran from 93-97 or 93-98. So you can get the brakes off those years. Or even better look for the brakes off 95-00 ls400. I've heard/read the brakes off the 95-00 ls400 are supra brakes just without the baging but what do I know...? I think it would be easier to just get the whole spindle assembly off a 95-00 ls400 and just swap it out with yours off your 91. But remember if you do the swap for big brakes, you'll have to either change your rims with a high disk or add spacers to clear the now bigger caliper...

93-98 supra Turbo brakes are the ones people upgrade to.

95-00 LS400 brakes are extremely close in diameter, and arguably equal in strength. plus they are all aluminum, not half steel/aluminum.

the LS and TT brakes are completely different!

for EITHER brakes you will need new wheels that can clear the calipers.

if you want 95-00 LS brakes, you will need to swap out the lower balljoints from your car and replace them with 95-00 lower ball joints.

Hey 64-04, check out autoland on kalihi st. They are parting out a 98 ls400, maroon. You can get the brake assembly off that car and do your conversion. Im sure yopu can work out a deal with them... cuz if you don't, I might... ill just have to order a new set of front rims....

don't forget the LBJ

otherwise the calipers will foul on the bolt and you'll be screwed until you fix it.

OP, search around, there are conversions for TT brakes up. lextreme has a tuto for them. nobody has a step by step for the 2LS caliper swap since it's kind of straightforward, remove wheel, remove brake line, remove pad wear sensor (on the proper side), unbolt 2 caliper mounting bolts, remove caliper. reinstall in reverse.

now, i'm confuse. so if i want to upgrade my 91 with a 95-00 LS brakes, do i need the lower ball joint and all that? or is it just gonna be like wat you said

just to swap the caliper on any LS you do what i said.

to retrofit 1st gen cars with 2nd gen brakes, you need to swap in the lower balljoints from a 95-00 LS at the same time for clearance.

oh, and you'll need wheels that can clear the brakes. they're BIG.

you'll need:

TT Swap:
+93-98 Supra Turbo front brake calipers (pair) (with shims and pads)
+93-98 Supra Turbo front rotors (pair)
+Caliper Mounting Bolts Mounting bolts for Supra Turbo of correct years

2LS Swap:
+95-00 LS400 front calipers (pair) (with shims and pads)
+95-00 LS400 front rotors (pair)
+95-00 LS400 Front Lower Ball Joints (pair)
+Caliper Mounting Bolts for correct year LS400

MIGHT need lines, i don't think so though.
