hey was talking today at rockland with one of the supra guys(rich i believe it was) and he told me to post the details on here. the camry guys at toyotanation have setup a bbq meet at bear mountain in ny next weekend the 25th of july. all cars are free to come. just try to bring something. if not im sure if we need some things anyone who didn't can run to local stores(only fair). we planning to have it from 12 to around 5pm or so. anyone is free to stay longer. afaik i know(my friend is helping) the permits and grille there are taken care of. i will also bring a 18" round grille with me so we can use that as a backup. we should be able to find a spot at the parking lot there but some will arrive early to find/hold spots for others. don't be afraid to pm me for more info but here are details again:

where is the meet? in the parking lot itself or on the grass? i can probably make this. what shall i bring?

side note: bear mt. has a huge(hundreds of cars/bikes) classic/muscle car and bike show every wednesday on the lawn. the past few years the import scene has been getting bigger. i keep saying i will make a new thread and hope to get a bunch of CL members there... it's a great show(esp if you like old cars and/or bikes). they got food/beer/music every wednesday and it only costs $3 a car to be a spectator....

depends how many cars we get there bc my friend who is helping me with making this happen said few people are coming not on list hopefully. im aiming for the lot. if anyone has some charcoal bring some bc i don't feel like getting a bag for just this lol. i'll be bringing kielbasy(polish sausages), mustard/ketchup, a grille(in case the ones there are not enough), and some spachulas and stuff. few friends bringing burgers and hot dogs so maybe just the charcoal and some chips and stuff. shouldn't be far to a store anyway if we missing things.

 

weather isn't looking so good. if i come, i'll be sure to bring something......

 

if it does rain it's still on. reason being is if yesturday was any indication then the rain will go by quick and we can continue the bbq. there should be some spots to hide if anything. the palisades are close so if anything we can move the meet to a parking garage quick and then come back once it clears. we had same thing happen for east coast meet. it rained and then stopped and we continued. few people ran to the 2nd location which was a parking garage while rest just waited in cars. whatever we do we can't split into groups but instead stay together.

11:30 anyone coming from pa or south jersey or the ny area. we meet at the last exit on the NJ parkway in the back lot. something like exit 172. if u coming from south jersey it is the lot all the way in the back. coming from NY its the one right in the beginning. it leads out to the back roads. we aiming to be by bear mountain for 12 so we won't stay long. AGAIN, we are aiming for 12 to have most people up there. sure adam and a few others will probably be there at 11 to reserve spots and a grille. i won't update the list but everyone bring something or ur going to go to be making a run to the local walmart or whatever for what we are missing. after taking with a few people we are missing mostly plates, utensil, charcoal, and lighter fluid. most people said they bringing burgers/hot dogs. if anyone wants to bring steak afaik no one is bringing any so u are welcome. any questions ask now. i will probably be on once on all forums/facebook in the am then only can be reached via txt/call.
