Ok guys! I know its early, but that helps get schedules situated easiest.

I am on elitecaraudio.com alot and we have had a couple great meets in the last couple years, and my friend Jeff and I would like to do it again.

Here are the details:

Uno's on Golf rd. near Woodfield Mall

There are some large (tall) buildings to the south, we will meet in their parking lot.

The date will be: Saturday, April 26.

We're thinking 2pm. We can have plenty of time to check out everyone's cars, maybe go screw with the guys at Tweeter, then get some dinner and call it a day.

We will be making a SQ/SPL Cd FREE for all who attend. I'll be using lots of common reference tracks, as well as some you may not be familiar with. Hopefully this will entice more to show up.

If there's participation interest, we could maybe bring old junk subs (Funky Pups) and hook them up to someones big amp or something... Oh, and if you bring your girlfriends, we can have a bikini contest lol

Ok, now its up to you. Lets get some feedback and have us a big turnout.

Everyone with a soundsystem or that wants to check out other systems is welcome

Yah, i just finished drivers ed!! and i got my permit ready to go to the DMV for my liscence!!! i cant wait!! well maybe ill be able to come there by myself cause my mom said that she cant drive me this time.....

can't say I know what you mean, but we have never had a problem. If anything what we did last time, when it rained, was we went to the streets of woodfield parking garadge hehe.

 

Last time we had a meet there bunch of Acura people were racing around the parking lot. Next thing you know Police showed up and told everyone to leave. One of the Acura people got three tickets. Simply said as long as we don't brake the law (speeding) and have a peaceful meet we should be fine.

what do you suppose people do at car AUDIO meets?

remember that it was the losers from the building complaining. if we go in there blasting sound systems we can count on getting the same results. just my thoughts on the subject. i'm not saying that it's a bad idea to have a car audio meet but i really think that the spot is not the best.

EDIT: don't forget that schaumburg's finest have nothing better to do than stomp all over people's rights

 

I agree that is not a great place to meet. Everytime that I have gone there, even to just meet with a few friends they come over and kick us out. I would look into a better spot.

I think we could approach places like "Tweeder Center" (sp?) and ask if they would allow a meet at their parking lot. After all, this is right in their alley. Then again, we're not organizing the meet so we don't have much to say. I say if we get kicked out we can always go grab something to eat.

Alex, Car Audio or not, there is always someone that will cause trouble. Remember the time when the motorcycle people showed up and starting racing around the parking lot?
