My car has 20% tint and so far this year I got 8 tickets for tint all in BK.........I have always had tint on my cars and never got a ticket until this year.

I'm about to take it off......These stupid cops have nothing better to do.

Any advice?.........Anyone having same problems?

 

I think your only option is to go legit. Simple as that.

 

or go for 35%... i've only gotten ticket once...and i drive so that I do not draw any attention to myself.

20%= too dark

In addition, this sort of tint (dark) does not block UV rays or make the interior of the car any cooler in the hot sun. I would get rid of it..

If you want no problems from law enforcement and the added benefits of tint film, then look into Huper Optik tint film.. Same film used on Mercedes Benz vehicles.. I dont even remember what tint I got, I believe its 20%, and my old car was 20%, and I got like four tint tickets all together in 8 years.

 

NYC has put into effect an NYPD No Tolerance law until Sept. (Labor Day) That means that if a police officer pulls you over he is commited to giving you a ticket for something. There will be no warnings in most cases.

It's purely a revenue generating efforts. -- we got a notice at our job here, since I work across from the courthouse.
