My car has 20% tint and so far this year I got 8 tickets for tint all in BK.........I have always had tint on my cars and never got a ticket until this year.
I'm about to take it off......These stupid cops have nothing better to do.

20%= too dark
In addition, this sort of tint (dark) does not block UV rays or make the interior of the car any cooler in the hot sun. I would get rid of it..
If you want no problems from law enforcement and the added benefits of tint film, then look into Huper Optik tint film.. Same film used on Mercedes Benz vehicles.. I have Huper 30 (their 35% film) on my GS. Not a single problem from law enforcement in the 8 years its been on my car. Click the video in the link below.. NYC has put into effect an NYPD No Tolerance law until Sept. (Labor Day) That means that if a police officer pulls you over he is commited to giving you a ticket for something. There will be no warnings in most cases.
It's purely a revenue generating efforts. -- we got a notice at our job here, since I work across from the courthouse.
