Anyone who has experience with audio insatallatios at this store, particularly for sattelite radio, good or bad? all recommendations for ia reliable installer in the Paramus MJ area would be appreciated.

their union store has good rep. for audio installation. can't say much for the paramus location.
If you're looking for good installers, one place i would recommend is the best buy at east brunswick.
given 6th ave is a private store, the variety you find there is better than circuit city or best buy, but whether or not they will help you resolve any future issues with installtion or product is still a debate. They usually don't pay much attention to the customer after the sale unless you've bought 'their' extended warranty plans.
best buy and circuit city stores etcon the other hand seems to have a better customer service since they are larger chains and if one location doesnt give you the proper service, you can always go to a different location store.

Thanks for the welcome. i just picked up an sc430 on new years day.iwas thinking of having th dealer, Prestige , do the install but the cost is much higher & the work is done off premises somewhere in west nyack. the two local installers i have used in the past are out of or going out of business. i can't believe the limited availablity of this service around here.

The problem with 6th ave is they rape u on pricing. The guys that did my system install are great, and i personally know them, and are great people. Buy&Save electronics on Main Ave in Passaic, NJ, and they just opened a new store thats doing insane installs called Mobile Werks right on rt.17 before 6th ave electronics in paramus. If you need a number or anything, let me know

 

please give me a number or address for mobile works. i live 5 minutes from 6th ave but i don"t recall seeing this shop. btw ^th quoted $445 to install xm commander in ahtray of sc430. does this sound high to you? thanks

 

not sure, never had it installed. I dont have the number off the top of my head but its on route 17 before 6th ave like pretty much across the street from pizza hut, its by the first sign for the mall

drove by, found & stopped in. met james &ron & they seemed knowledgeable. they are exploring some stuff & said will call me

 

jimmy is a good person, not to familiar w/ the staff of mobile werks, he also owns Buy & Save Electronics in Passaic and they are very well known. You're car is in good hands w/ them
