Default 18s in NYC?

Anyone rolling on 18s here in NYC? How do they ride? I really want to get 18s for my GS, but I'll get really upset if a wheel gets bent because of all these potholes & crap on the roads.

For those with 18s, let me hear your opinions.

For those with 17s, do you regret not getting 18s?

I know 17s should be 235/45/17 (on 17x8 I'm assuming).
How about 18s? What's the "normal" tire size?

If I get 18s, I just want to make sure that the sidewall height isn't that much less than the OEM 17s.

I wished I lived in a place where the road is smooth as butter....somewhere warm with no snow. Sigh......

you can bend 18s and even 17s too if you dont watch for potholes.. so if you going to 17+ you can go as well with bigger size like i did.. 20s

Thanks alexus. I guess I'll go with 18s.

I've heard about the L-Tuned setup.

I think I read that it's your Eibach springs and struts right?

I just want something stiffer than stock but still maintain the Lexus feel.
