I thought I was writing this in the NTL section but I posted it in the IS-F section:
As some of you may or may not know, my wife had neuro surgery on wednesday to remove a tumor behind her right eye. The surgery went well, although it was more involved once they got in. All eye nerves were wrapped around the tumor and they all had to be taken off, the nerves are thinner than human hair so it was a long tedious process. It is amazing what doctors can do these days. Her entire orbotal socket had to me removed and then reconstructed. They anticipate her gaining vision back in the eye, but may take some time for those nerves to refire. Also the muscles are slowly coming back on line, so her eye is sewn shut. We were able to take her home yesterday and she is doing very well and resting, she has a little swelling but it looks like nothing was ever done. There are no bandages or scars, they did not have to shave any hair, it is amazing. Thanx to everyone for your prayers and thoughts. It has been a trying week for us, and we will continue to press on and recover. If anyone needs a recomedation for a neurosurgeon or a cranio-plastic surgeon these 2 guys are the best in the country and are luckily in Dallas.
Have a great Sunday everyone, I will be back to the NTL crew soon.
Man, what great news... I like hearing good stories in the morning. It reminds me of how fragile life is and that we should all cherish every moment we are graced with. I am so glad every thing worked out for you guys. This has been on my mind for a while now. Thanks for the update. Look forward to seeing you soon.
