I got one for the drivers side and one for passenger. The tints are not even that dark, I got 35% all around and numerous times cops would let me go with a warning. He also said he was being nice and only gave 2, he said that he could have given me 5.....
Does anyone know how much I'll have to pay? I keep finding $90 per window, not sure if that is accurate? I'm in NY.

I also have 35% and I also got a ticket for tints a couple of months ago. I only got one ticket and it was $90. I guess it's $90 per ticket. Where in NY did you get it?

Yep, it looks like $180 for me It was in Brooklyn, corner of Cropsey Ave & Neptune Ave.
Not sure of NY laws but a ticket per window sounds f'n stupid to
me. I'd go to court... but if you really have tints that are within the law, just go get it certified. For
MD, state troopers do the verification. It should be one ticket no
matter how many windows are tinted.
If he put the meter on your windows to measure the tint then yeah you're screwed. I'm sure he was just being a jerk unless you did something to provoke getting pulled over. If he didn't measure your tint and just gave you a ticket saying it's too dark, then go fight it in court.
Just pay the tickets and move on. If you go to court you will lose and then you will be forced to pay the tickets anyway and they will most likely make you remove the tint which will be more of a pain than paying the tickets.

not all the time. ive done it twice, once in jersey and once in delaware. in jersey i pleaded not guilty for a ticket for a loud exhaust. i told the judge the cop did not have a DB meter and he dropped the ticket. in delaware i just told the judge i didnt mind paying the fine, just didnt want the points and he drops the points.
I'm definitely paying, there is no way around that in NYC. They used issue "fix it" tickets, but not anymore.
Anyways, I keep entering my ticket numbers at the dmv online and I keep getting "not in the system" errors..... Not sure what to do at this point... I guess I'll mail the payment.
