i put my car in a nearby parking garage up on the second level

my parking lot is about 4 feet above sea level and about 30 feet from the water, so yeah i took the liberty of parking the LS a little further from home than usual. my wife was like, "but what about my car", i was like well we at least need one car in case we have to get out right??

i'm thinking this storm is gonna be weak as shiz by the time it gets here... all that hype for what¿¿¿

i bet the economy was actually helped by this event thus far though.... lots of people buying supplies, wood, alcohol, gas, and everything else. plus not to mention the amount of money being spent if something breaks. i bet the local authorities will be minimally helping, with most just on call and never called.

not saying its a bad thing, just looking at it from a industry perspective. this of course is considering nothing big breaks

Im not sure about all that, hurricanes and earthquakes are common and have been going down consistently since the begining of time Im not gonna worry until we have a asteroid strike predicted!!!

My company strictly does insurance work, the owner looks at the weather map and sees $$$$$$$$

Hah, the eye, ya think it's over and then here comes the worst of it. Have you ever been through a hurricane? In NC they say it's not as bad as they expected but, it's gonna be bad enough. We must be pretty damn close to each other. I've been watching and it shows my place about 10 miles from the center of the track between 12 and 1 tomorrow. I got what I need, cigarettes and a flashlight. Oh, and matches. My car is outside but it looks like a safe enough place. (no insurance) I was in the middle of "Gloria" back in '85 and that was real bad. I was young and dumb then, driving around in my Camaro. A tree about 20 ft wide fell in front of me going down the road at about 30 MPH and I just barely stopped. If I was going 35, I wouldn't be here today. I'll never do that again. Hope everyone has what they need and stays safe. Good luck everyone.
