Default Need Lug Nut Help

So I am having an issue with my Mcgard Lug. My key for my locking lug has snapped off in my McGard locking lug and I'm finding it impossible to remove. I have tried to hammer a smaller socket on (no luck ), a lug nut extractor (no luck ) and even tried getting small drill bits to drill out the part of the key that is broken off in the lug (no luck ). Im running out of options and would really like to get this off

Has anyone ran into a similiar problem or know a place or even someone around the Philly area that can remove this? Damaging the lug i could careless about because I have 4 extra. Damaging the wheel is a different story. If anyone knows a place or someone I would really appericate it. At this point, I dont really care if I have to drive some where, I just want it off. If you think you can get it off, I would be more than happy to buy you lunch or a case of your favorite beverage.

Just bring it to a gas station...an impact will take this off. If not take it off..it will strip it enough that you can take it off by hand. problem solved. If you want to try it your self get a really long breaker bar and try and strip it yourself.

Here is a DIY that might help you,

http://www.my350z.com/forum/brakes-a...out-a-key.html

Another way is to crack the lug nut in half, I cant remember who sells it but there is a tool that cracks the lug nut in half, try searching for it. Or you can drill it out.

...just buy another key. same thing happened to me with my muteki's. depending on the age, the business that you bought it from should just send you a free one. i had to pay shipping....

we've already tried to hammer on a lug nut extractor and it didnt work. i can try the craftsman ones listed on the Z forum. i literally tried everything short of drilling out the center of the lug or an air chisle.

ryan i would but my key snapped off inside the lug so a new key will not work

this is what my lug looks like

the part of the key that fits into the lock (like the oem locking lug) snapped off in the lug.

Then drilling it out might be your only option.

yea i might invest in a small magnet. we were able to crack the part of the key that broke off in the lug but because of the design its still stuck in there. we got part of it loose so maybe a magent to pull that small piece out, i may be able to get the rest out with a pick.

oh okay, then try the lug nut extractor again and this time smack it on there real hard with a heavy hammer then break it loose with a breaker bar or an impact gun. The ones in the past to take them off were the ones made by snapon, worked everytime. those are the same wheel locks the honda dealership used that always seized and the lock key broke.

drill it. you can pick up another lug nut. if necessary, you can pick up another stud as well. is your lug set a full 20pc, or 4pc? guess that would make a difference. seems like this is more of a PITA that it's worth....
