percy p0141, is Bank 1 sensor 1 malfunction. It should be a small length a/f sensor. pn# 89465-50150 is for the Left side bank which is bank 1. 89465-30410 is for the right side which is bank 2.

And I recommend never to cut and splice a/f sensors, if it is done incorectly it can damage the sensor and your sensor will then give false readings to the ecm and the car will run like crap. Ie - alter performance and fuel econonmy.

David,

First thing I would say is check all your bolts to see if there tight. Since you have already done that, check the integrity of the trans mount. if it seems brittle or cracked replace that.

Clear the code for now. Its a malfunction indicator just to inform you something is/was happening to the car. ( slipping in rain ) There is a good chance it wont come back on after you clear it.

Reseting the battery wont do. Its not like the newer models. You have to remove the fuse box cover on the driver side near the battery and remove the efi/ig relay. Remove it for a little while than place it back on. That should do it.

Ok, if the code is not clearing that way. I suggest you have it cleared with a scanner. If it still comes back on you may have a abs sensor problem or speed sensor problem. Are you by chance running different size wheels on the car ? I.e. - 17 front 20 rear? a big difference in wheel diameter will cause the system to malfunction. Keep me posted.

Lexus scanner can delete it. I will check the diagram and get back to you.

sup tach i'm not sure what's the cause of this problem but when i'm driving my car (98 sc400) i feel and hear a thudding noise very similar to what a flat sounds like. I feel it more in the rear i have 18x8 on all four wheels. I do need a wheel alignment but i am not sure if that is the only problem. The steering wheel does vibrate and even more at 55-65. The noise that sounds like a flat happens all the time when i drive even at low speeds and when i brake too.

Seems to be your tires have flat spots on them. To alleviate that drop the pressure down to 20psi drive it for 5-10 miles then put the pressure back up to 33psi. If that does not work you need new tires. If the steering wheel is vibrating you need to balance them.
