Sadly, this plate is actually available... and some weirdo may go out and get it...

There were others just as bad as this one.. I wonder if anyone checks these before they get sent out?

I think I'll stick to my normal plates for now.

Yeah there are controls on the plates. I had a plate that went through the DMV local office but was rejected as "offensive" when it came time to issue. All that first check does is verify if the plate exists.

yea u cant get manr8pst.. cant use numbers to sound like letters.. when i tried to get ISF FTW it went thru on the dmv site and i got a regi sticker but then i got a letter saying it was offensive and were cancelling it...

Ftw in the early 80's meant F* * K the world instead of for the win.

 

I also tried getting "2JZFTMFW" it got approved and then I got a letter in the mail revoking the plate.

Happened to me twice on my old car. I won't say what I was trying to get because it is too offensive

 

I had bought a Chevy Tahoe...and I wanted it to read MyHOE. They took the application at the DMV window and my money and processed it as personalized and said it was available but sent standard plates to me AND kept my premium I spent for personalized plates.

 

lol i thought of that but 8 has a T at the end . . .
