Default Lost My Wheel Lock Key..HELP!!

Hey folks,

I am in some real hot water here & need some urgent advice. I took my car in the shop to get some suspension work done yesterday (early prevention for the 2nd gen GS ball joint problem).

For the last 4 years I never yet taken the wheel lock key out of the car, every time I finished with it I would always put it back in the glove box... when I went looking for it yesterday it was nowhere to be found.

I have no idea what brand the key is as I bought it in Toronto about 4 years ago. Anyone know where I can find someone with the proper tools to remove the bolts from the wheels? The car is currently in the shop right now and I rather not drive it since the ball joint needs to be changed ASAP... it would be great if I can get someone to go to the shop and get it done there.

Thanks in advance

Mark

since you dont know what kind of locks they are. you can get a socket that is slightly smaller than the size of your lock. use a rubber mallet and hammer it on to the lock. then just use a torque wrench to loosen up the locks. shouldnt have a problem removing them that way. (this is how most theives do it. so ive heard)

worse case scenario is your going to have to drill a hole in the lock. take a flat head and break the locks in half to get them off. this sucks cuz you can damage the wheels.

these are the things i did to get wheels off of and integra chassis i bought where the guy lost the wheel lock key. i had to do the worse case scenario since the locks were seized on.

good luck! good thing is your cars at a shop so you have all the tools you need right there.

This happened to me with my maxima before. I took a T-bar and hammered the smaller socket end on to the lock and just took each one off. Hammered the locks to get them out of the socket once they were off the car.

Bring the car to the Bronx... I'll take them off in 10 minutes...

If your car is in a shop and they can't find a way to get the lugs out... I'll suggest you look for a different shop to do your work...
