From auto body class and just speaking to different automotive professionals, independent shops are the way to go! They're usually very professional and can get it done in a very timely manner. Even if you bring it to a dealer, they're just gonna sub it out to an independent shop and charge you 3x as much. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with any auto glass shops in ny. You might wanna wait till other members to chime in or you can try those shops by the junk yard behind shea stadium

pep boys. 10 bucks. you gotta clean the windshield good. its a kit, really easy to use. i fixed my 525i's windsheild when i got it and the ginormous crack hasn't spread at all. basically you use this syringe with a suction cup adapter looking thing, and it gets the epoxy onto the crack and into it. and basically you use these curing strips or not and let it sit for a few hours and its good to go. just go to one of those car parts stores like pep boys and ask for the windshield repair kit. and they should know what it is.

replace for a newer Lexus? a good 800 for the windshield at least. install may be like a few hundred. for some odd reason newer lexuses have that windshield problem, where something hits it and it just cracks. my dad's ES takes rocks like all day and it hasn't even scratched. weird. maybe there could be a replacement call in the future.

Default Liberty Glass

they are on Queens blvd in I think Woodside. They are the guys who do all the install work for the good dealers. If you want the right job done I would call them for advice and pricing.

bump, need a replacement glass on back passenger window and front windshield. has some metal pitted into it and wondering what the costs are going to be. need to either remove the metal or replace it because thinking about tinting windows. if ur wondering how metal got into it, think grinding metal w/o using something to shield the interior. thanks in advance!

Liberty Ave and 150th Street in Queens, there are about 10 glass shops on the block and they all do good work.
