Default IPT Performance Transmissions Shop In New Jersey..

Guys, you ever heard of www.IPTTRANS.COM? Anyone have experience with that place? Looks professional, just wondering if anyone have first hand experience with their work in installations, customer service, products etc etc....

Thanks

I've heard of this place. I was actually going to do my vb upgrade with them but I'm going with Turboeast becasue they have a sale going on.

What were you planning to do D?

Hi GSoup, thanks for the reply, well I was thinking of going to them for the header installation.. Also I called them, they recommended that I buy their custom made TC which I can have any stall because they can warranty their work instead of getting PI/tc which they will not warranty the work... Plus their custom TC is cheaper, not by a whole lot but enough.

It makes more sense anyway if its cheaper + warranty. I may look into sending them the TC also.

I plan to do some work with them when I can get up to the U.S. (not likely) or when I move back to the U.S. in the near future. I researched this a while back and concluded they could do the work on my RX's tranny. The TC in the RX is sorely lacking

Thanks GSoup for your comments, yea it SEEMS the logically way to go.. but I wish someone on here ACTUALLY BOUGHT Ipttrans custom TC and gave real time feedback.. I am concerned with quality control meaning, the way Precision Industries's builds their TC compared to IPTTrans and the way that they build their TC.. I wonder if its equal or better in terms of fit, finish, the construction of the TC, materials etc e tc.. you know what i mean?

Thanks Lexmex for contributing to my thread.. Its good to know you feel confident about this place.. Though one question for you, when you say you "researched" this place, what did you find that concluded they were a reputable high quality facility?

Thanks!

Their history with vehicles. My favorite example is that of a 1MZFE Turbocharged Toyota Camry, probably the most powerful 1MZFE engine on the planet, and this guy had gone to them, see http://htracing3.homestead.com/files/Camry/Cameng8e.jpg and http://www.geocities.com/leunghomepa...eryCAMnew.html

I was planning on getting my tranny re-built by IPT, tony had recommended them to me a while back. But im changed my mind and decided to do a 5-spd swap.

There's plenty of interest here in NELOC for TCs with a higher stall. If we can all agree on which Trans builder to trust, I'm sure we can order enough for a volume discount
