NJ cause its NJ. LOL. Anyway, I vote for PA... everytime I go to Pittsburgh it's the same thing. There are tons of tunnels everywhere and even though there are tons of signs with them that say MAINTAIN SPEED, everyone comes to a crawl for no apparent reason. Why? I don't know. THey just do. Then right past the tunnel, they blast off like a bat out of hell. Then slow down way below the speed limit just before the tunnel. There is no merging trafice before or after the tunnel... they all just slow down for no reason!!! I can't stand it. Plus they've never heard of the left-is-for-passing rule either.

OK, my votes are for NJ, MA, RI, CT, DE, Pa and NY. No offense to these states, but they are very driver unfriendly. Being a driver by profession, these states seem to exhibit the attitude of "Don't care if you need to get over,, I'm coming in anyway,, what's a turn signal,, there's an inch of space i want and I'm gonna take it,, etc" There is just no consideration for the next person or what the possible effects of their actions are. In area of merging traffic, instead of merging early and avoiding the cause of a backup, these states wait until the last minute,, the last inch,, the last millimeter of space and then want to jump in front of everybody and push others out of the way b/c "I'm important and you're not." For me, this is even worse in a truck, as everyone likes to challenge trucks and THINK that we won't hit them; WRONNGGG!!!!! My thing is this, in a car or truck, as long as you give some type of acknowledgement that you are aware of my presence,, turn signal, wave, eye contact, just something then 9 times out of 10 I will let you in. For those of you who want to BE IMPORTANT and just bo-gard your way into traffic like it is owed to you, you gets no luv from me. I WILL get within 5 mm of the person n front of me and maintain this space. This applies for me whether in my car or 18 wheeler. There are other states that need to qualify that are not listed, but once you go east of Pa and north of Md, driving takes on a whole new form of aggression in order to survive.

ROTFL. You described it perfectly. I know people who move here to work who will not dare drive into the 5 boroughs for this exact reason. I took my driver's ed classes in Manhattan, so this is the norm for me. I only notice it when I leave the northest corrider and suddenly, I'm not angry anymore. (west of Pittsburgh)

I just checked CT. I'm used to MA and I can handle NY, but it always seems like CT drivers are the worst. Going down the merrit and you'll see someone in the left lane driving 45, and another person going lane-to-lane with no directionals going 85. I see more NY plates and NJ plates than CT (at least around where I go to school.) and they are just as bad... but I think it may just be the fact that the state is horrible to begin with.

Historically, the m*******s have taken the cake. But you left out Vermont, where people don't break 65 on the interstate and 35 on any other road. It's unbearable.

this is great, i love it. Thank you guys, i was sitting in math class earlier and decided to start a pole, because some dumb woman from NJ slammed on the brakes in front of me on my way to class on i-287 where its like 5 lanes wide and she was in the left and went from 55 to 20 in a matter of a second. I gave her a nice surprise with strobes and siren and pulled her over a few lanes so i could get by but f me i cant stand NJ drivers up here.

But Trukn1 is right, we are crazy and totally unfriendly up here. There are other states that qualify but we wont even get into the people in california and such...since this is NELOC and i also didnt feel like typing all 50 states on my cell phones keyboard, lol!

CT Drivers are just airheaded and have no idea what the hell is going on around them. MA/NJ drivers however are totally disrepectful on the road. A local cop gave MA drivers a nickname M@ssholes.

NY Drivers are terrible at times but i think we have to deal with the most amount of stupidity being surrounded by PA/NJ/MA/CT so cut us a break.

Every state has its share of terrible drivers, i was just wondering which states drivers **** you off more on average. Thanks for the input and keep it coming!

I love driving in NYC, i wake up and get on the edge of my seat and see how many "agressive" taxis i can make back down by holding my line. But then again when i drive in other parts of our country when im on vacation, im so relaxed. But when i get home and get back in my truck at the airport i just click back into gear and get ready for the yellow taxis again!

but they are just being overly cautious, and with all that wildlife up there i might go slow myself. Thats how alot of the country drives...safe.

I also left out 40 other states besides VT, lol

Probably one of the worse things you can do as it will instantly give us the impression that you are trying to be an azz. Trust me, we can see you coming, alot of times a long time before you realize that we are in front of you. People who do this to me not only annoy me, but I also sit in the lane a little longer then I had originally intended to. Good intention,, bad execution. Yeah, let me think you stupid and then blind me; reaction,,, instant attitude.
Yeaaaaaaaaaaa 0 votes for VA!!
My friend, let's not EVEN get started with Va!!! It is true that you all do merit the lowest in the poll given, but down there some of yall are just plain STUPID as well. Frequently, that corridor on I-95 between Springfield and Fredericksburg is clogged(day or night) for ABSOLUTELY NO REASONat all. For those of you unfamiliar with this section, we are talking about a 20 mile stretch of road. Va. is given credit for having a more courteous breed of driver over some of the other states listed. LOl!!!!

Just signal before cutoff and dont blind us (no flashes) and we will get along just fine. Consequently, if I am ever in your area and you decide to strobe me with the lights (you know which ones I am talking about) dont expect me to stop. You may just find out just how 4X4 the LX really is that day,,LMAO!!!

There is nothing wrong with blipping your highs if you're going to pass someone. That is common practice and a courtesy to other drivers to let them know what you are trying to do. Much more courteous than constantly flickering your highs, leaving them on too long, riding their asses, or just cutting them off.

Truckers are not innocent of driving like idiots. Those who do the PA I-76 and I-78 are very aggressive and don't give a **** about the car drivers they share the road with. Whether its riding the *** of the car in front or just cutting people off (i've had to slam on my brakes every now and then).

well i havent encountered Trukn1 on the roads but ied assume hes level headed out there and keeps it safe. As for the other truckers out there, ive seen some totally wreckless drivers our there. In states like Texas, so many innocent drivers die because of wreckless truckers.

Oh and can i vote for NJ again? I keep seeing these NJ drivers who have no idea what the heck is going on around them and are putting everyone on the road in danger. NJ needs to check on their licencing process...seems like they are giving licences to anyone who breaths.
