Has anyone encountered the Driver Responsibility Program before?
I just had a couple serious tickets i received last year reduced to moving violations and now have seven points on my nys licence, which at the time seemed like a great deal, BOY WAS I WRONG.
DMV sent a letter informing me i was being accessed by the driver responsibility program.
In all my years of driving i have never received a single ticket for any kind of moving violation, and do not think this is in any way is unfair.. HA okay maybe a tad little. The worst part of this is, i end up forking over $300 and it does nothing about the points on my lic.

 

i heae you , but i doesnt seem that bad if it might make the drunk drivers think twice and 6 points is alot

 

Yeah that program is garbage...NYS is full of garbage like this, you ought to know by now

Damn, the donut munchers got yah Sounds like another term for defensive driving. Just take the class as ordered. You should take that class after you get all your points off your license to get 10% off your insurance coverage.

 

This isn't a class, its just a straight up "Stop Getting Ticketed Fee."

im gonna give in my nys lic and apply for a vermont lic, i'll be going to school there next semester so it should be easy. i am told the points wont carry on to my vermont lic if done this way, i just have to evade the have i ever had a lic question

DASHOCKER, im in on a GB on cordless radar detectors. God knows this just makes me wanna disobey more rules.

NYLexSC, yeah i have always known baut ny and it cunning ways of squeezing money outa any & everything they can. u cant win with these guys.

Somewhat off the subject, I talked to Valentine abount entertaining the idea of a group by and they said they would have no need to consider it. Business must be very good. I'll be talking to Beltronics about the RX-65 tomorrow, they are offering up to $80 trade in allowance on your old detector. I'm interested to see if they are willing to negotiate anything further. Back on topic, sorry about the class man.
