Amp
Does anyone know where i can get an amp powerful enough for 3 Orion XTR 12Dvc subs. I know that theyre Rms is 250 watts, and 500 peak. I need to power all 3 of these subs, but im clueless as to which sub would work great. Ive leaning towards a Zapco, PPi, Orion XTR/HCCA, or MTX Thunder. Any Recomendations???
How bout the JL 1000/1, its supposed to be a beast of an amp. Im running all JL amps and I love them, they have performed perfectly for me. I have a 500/1 pushing a single JL12W6V2. Ccek out their web stie to get some specs on them.
I have run Orion HCCA amps for years. IMO, they're just awesome. I have 2 Orion 250 HCCA's that one pushed 2 Orion 12 DVC's and the other the rest of the system w/o even breaking a sweat. I personally can tell you from first hand experience that they hit hard and give no trouble as long as you feed them well.
I would consider selling you one, if you are really interested since it's just sitting in the closet in it's original box. Let me know if you're interested. Even if you're not interested in buying from me, I would still whole heartedly recommend true Orion products. Even the low-end Orion stuff is pretty good (Cobalt).

Im thinking of just going with 2 Orion XTR 12 inch DVC's. What box would you recomend for a 94 Lexus Ls400. Would one amp be sufficient for both subs???? Please respond, im new to this whole audio thing.

Honestly, if you choose to go with HCCA amps, you can't go wrong. The amps are designed to be competition amps. Years ago they were called "cheater" amps in the car stereo competition business because since the 4 ohm rating is only 50 X 2, you could compete in the 100 watt class yet put out the 800 watts I told you about. They are one of only a handful of amps that could run all the way down to .5 ohm impedence all day long w/o shutting down or melting. They cost somewhere around $600-700 new easily. The real mack daddy is the 2100 HCCA. Do the math, and that one is twice as powerful as the 250. That was a $1k amp back in the day. I've ran everything from the garbage Pyramid/Legacy to the very high end of Pioneer, Alpine, Orion, Kicker, Rockford, etc. Out of all the equipment that I've installed and owned thru the years, the Orion stuff is one of my favorites. Especially for just raw power.
I could go on and on, but I won't anymore. I think that I over answered your question. Sorry.
