Default FS Alpine CDA-7998 *please read post carefully*

I have for sale an Alpine CDA-7998 Deck. This is the phantom face deck that hides itself when turns off. The last time I checked I couldn't get it to play a cd but this possibly could be fixed. The radio works fine as does the motor for the face plate. It is in great cosmetic condition. When the Deck came out it cost close to $800 dollars and had great sound quality.

This is a high end deck and does NOT have an internal amp. This means that you have to have an external amp powering your speakers

This has been sitting in my closet for about a year and anyone who knows alpine know the quality of this deck. I am selling it low because of the issue with the CDs but you could still hook up an ipod through the aux.

$40 + shipping from Miami FL

Update, wires and front at a few posts down

Can you take actual pictures of the face and the rear showing the wire connections? Thanks

The unit is not installed so the face will not come out. It is a Fantom face so it is self hiding and does not detach. When it is powered on the motor reveals the face. I can take a picture of the wires on the back when I get home.

this is not my video but this is how it works, the face is in good cosmetic condition.

I'm interested but really would like to see the condition of the face if possible. Would you be able to somehow get pictures of the face? Thanks

If you stuck that with THIS you'd have a killer unit. Just swap the face.

I'll get 2nd in line if 5sp_jzz30 decides he doesn't want it.. I have an Alpine CHA-S634 CD changer and a Rockford Fosgate amp that would go PERFECT with this.
