no gauge lights when car is on

I have a 1998 gs 300. When i put the key in the ingition and turn the car on the gauge cluster does not light up. Also when i turn the lights on the radio display goes out. anyhelp would be great. thanks

This may be something obvious, but did you turn the dimmer **** back to full?

lol, yes i did. its weird. i checked the fuses on the driver side, their all good. the gauges don't work, ( either of them) no light there, and the radio light comes on, but once i turn on the headlights, they go off!!!

need HELP!!!!!

same thing happened to me a week ago , try disconnecting the battery and reconnect until they reset on , it worked for me after saying 10 hail marys
