Default Cleaning Air filter on Intake

Silly question....but I don't know so I'm asking. Do you clean or just buy another Air filter when this one gets dirty? If you clean it where do you get the cleaning supplies from (I'm guessing a Auto parts store) but not really sure and if you buy a new one where to order from?

Depends what filter you have. If it is stock, you just buy a new one and replace. There are others (aftermarket like the TRDs, Tom's and K&N) where you will need a cleaning kit.

With my K&N filter, I would just buy a new filter. Now I have to be more careful. The oil from the filter got on my air/fuel sensor and caused all sorts of havoc with the check engine light. After cleaning the sensor, I also use a small amount a of thinner and some cloth and cleaned the top of the filter, but the bottom side still has its protective oil.
