I called the Lexus dealer thats in my area to find out if the 93' SC400 had any service records. They said asked me for the last 6 digits of my vin and then told me that it hasn't been serviced THERE and that they could not check other dealers. Is there any way for them to check all dealers? I would figure that the systems were all linked between dealers.

 

check in your owner's manual, in mine, every time the dealer did the maintenance they would stamp it. and I have like 3 pages from the original owner showing all of the work done.

 

The systems are linked, and they can find out if your car has been serviced at any Lexus dealer nationwide. I had my car's service history looked up when I purchased it, and they handed me a printout of the service history. The car had been serviced at a different dealership than the one that provided me with the report. Whoever you called just was either a) stupid, or b) didn't care. However, I did call the dealership before I visited them and asked them about obtaining a copy of the service history. They said I would have to show up in person and show them a copy of the registration and also so they could physically verify the vin. Try another person/ dealership.

 

i had the same thing done as rushgator2112...both in-state and out of state..they pulled the same info...i think that guy was just being lazy....
