Default Which dealer should I service my car at?

So living on long island there are a few Lexus dealers within driving distance.

The dealer closest to me (Smithtown) didn't have my preferred color combo so I ended up purchasing my car a little further away at another dealership.

Will I have any trouble using Lexus of Smithtown to service my IS? Or should I hike out to the dealer of purchase to service it?

Any reviews on the service department at Lexus of Smithtown? Any reviews of other service departments on long island?
Massapequa, Hamptons, Great neck, etc.?

I bought my car at Smithtown, as far as the buying experience there it was great especially with the salesman. I've only had my car for 4 months so i haven't experienced their service department yet.

As per the 2010 Competition and Consumer Act dealerships are not allowed to restrict where you bring your car to when it comes to warranty/service work. The treatment you might receive there might not be up to par with the dealership you bought the car from, but that is to be expected.

I too bought my car from Smithtown back in August. Did my 5k service from there and had them update the firmware due to all the Bluetooth issues I had as well.

They offered me a loaner for the service (RX350).

Overall, they were polite and I really don't see anything negative to say about them.

Also purchased my car from lexus of smithtown. I have absolutely nothing but the best to say about them. treated me really well and I had an issue hitting a pothole that threw off my alignment. went In that same day didn't call or anything and they took me in with no issues and aligned my car at no charge under warranty. most places I feel would have charged me the 150$ to align it. I live an hour away from there and I try to make the trip there but I understand if you don't want to, its a bit annoying for me but they do treat you better I feel knowing you bought the car from them. just my opinion though

I don't see why they would treat you poorly. Dealership will make more money from you in the long run through service.

The fact that you didn't buy the car there might even make them try harder to earn your repeated visits

How does this apply to loaners?

Are they allowed to only provide same to those who purchased from them?

You can even take your car to a Toyota dealer for non-warranty service.
