Default Has anyone recently changed their coolant/antifreeze? Need help

I'm looking to buy a Toyota Red Coolant. I called every Toyota and Lexus dealers in my area and the average price is $30. I live in the Bay Area if that helps. Is this normal? I saw a lot of older threads and other users say they paid $20.

Did you recently bought red coolant? How much did you pay?

i have seen it online for around 18 to 20 per gallon however then there is like 6 to 12 dollars for shipping which is what the average prices come out to between 28 to 32 a gallon
its something thats best just to get at the dealership i would say you wont have to pay for shipping and wait for the same price.

I bought a gallon at the local Toyota dealer about a week ago for $24.

Of course we all know that everything costs more in California.

I recently replaced the Red Coolant in mine with this stuff from Pep Boys for ~$15:

I'd order it online soon though, they're getting hard to find as they're (supposedly) in the process of replacing it with Red Coolant from Beck & Arnley (new partnership), which is almost double the price.

What year is your vehicle?

For a long time now, Toyota / Lexus has switched to a different coolant to suit the metals used in the engines. Red coolant is only for rather old engines, most contemporary Toyota / Lexus engines now use the super long life coolant (SLLC) which is pink.
