The dealer suggested that I replace the lug nuts. Why would this be?

Service department sales profits are down for the month and they need to make their quota for the boat payments. I have never heard of such a thing. I have replaced a torn up wheel lock lug nut, but that is it. I would expect the others to last the life of the vehicle, unless they can show the nuts are stripped or that there are cracks in them, I would ignore them and if concerned get a second opinion from an independent repair shop.
