Knock sensor change out gone bad!

Default Knock sensor change out gone bad!

So I changed out my knock sensor's and Harness, and plugs on my 2000 Rx 300. Put it back together and now car shifts very erratic and feels like it goes out of gear.. I have reset ECM and I am at a loss for answers. Any help would be much appreciated.

The new part may be defective. Did run better with the old part? I would swap the old one back in and see if it runs better or the same as before. Of course, make sure all wires are secured correctly and no plugs are broken. Also make sure you re-connected anything else you had to take apart to do this job. Sometimes (I have done this) you forget to re-connect that one item and the car runs worse or not at all.

I just pulled the code P1760 shift solenoid, I wonder if I missed a ground or something.

I bet that is what happened. You need to go over all the stuff you took apart.

All is good, car is running great again! The ground on the back of the air intake is very important.... Secured ground and car runs and shifts perfect.
