squeaky clutch pedal
Just signed up with Club Lexus. Wondering if someone can assist me with my IS300 (2002) manual - squeaky clutch pedal.
I've tried lubbing it and basically found out that there is a plastic piece that needs replacing and is the causing the pedal to squeak. It comes and goes but at it's worst it's very loud and annoying.
I've also inquired a CLUTCH PEDAL ASSEMBLY KIT from the dealer and it's awfully expensive.....not worth it, especially for one particular piece.
My mechanic suggested I ask this forum to see if I can get any leads on a used one or any other ideas.
Thank you

My problem exist outside the car. It's probably the pivot ball on the fork. Mine squeaks like crazy too. I wish I replaced this when I did my clutch job at 90k. I tried lubing it but it always come back. I think there's a score on the fork or the pivot ball that causes it to squeak like crazy.
