Red Battery Indicator in dash flashing

Hi,

I have noticed that the red battery indicator inside the dash flashes once in a while and it goes away for a few days and comes back. What could be the problem?

My guess would be perhaps the alternator is going or you have a low battery.

yup, I would also say the alt is dead or going out.
