Default Battery issue while having dash replaced...2004 GX 470

I'm having the cracked das replaced under warranty at the dealer. I dropped it off Friday and they called today saying it was ready to pick up, but he says it needs a new battery. They are having a hard time jump starting it and keeping it running. Funny thing is that the battery is only two years old and still under warranty.

What could they have done by replacing the dash that would effect the battery or starting of the car? Just seems odd that it was fine when we dropped it off Friday and now after the dash was installed there is an issue with the battery. I guess the battery could have crapped out over the weekend, but it just seems odd.

You should find out if battery was disconnected while they were doing dash. Id doors open lights can eat up power real fast

They called this afternoon and only said my car was ready for pick up. I'm thinking that the mechanic left an interior light on over the weekend or something similar to drain the battery. I'll know more when I pick it up tomorrow.

Picked it up with a new dash....no battery issues thus far. Guess they drained the battery somehow.
