I just got a key from ebay and tried to follow the steps as listed on this site. (pressing brake + accel, ... as described) However, it does not work?

I have a right hand drive car ( I am in Hong Kong) build in 1998.
Do I first need to cut the key or does this process not work for non-US cars?

 

I don't know about the HK's car, but you may need to cut the key first. The last step in programming the key is to insert the new key into ignition and turn it on, then step on the gas pedal once. Then wait until the security light stop flashing(1 minunte).
How do you know the key you bought from Ebay is good?. Good luck man.
