GS400 Spark Plug Change Question

Trying to change spark plugs in my GS 400. Got the coil pack off, but can't reach the spark plug with the ranch because of the rubber coil boot. How do I handle the rubber coil boot? I partially tore one trying to pull it out, and I don't know what to do. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated!

When I swapped mine, I grabbed it by the head, wiggled it left and right while pulling it off the plug. Needle noses might be a useful thing as well.

i just changed mine a few weeks ago as well and everything went smooth until the last coil pack.. the boot broke and stayed inside.. What i did was buy the longest needle nose pliers Autozone had and that worked.
