FYI: 2001+ GS uses different A/C Filter
Just want to let those who are interested to know that the A/C filter for the 2001+ GS300/430 are different from the 98-00 GS300/400. Now I can understand why some of the 98-00 GS owners are using HEPA filters they buy at Home Depot rather than buying the Toyota ones.
Ordered a A/C Filter from Steve Ganz and he sent me a filter that looks different from the original one. Found out it was the for 98-00. Steve forgot I had a GS430. By the way Steve was nice enough to send me the correct one at no charge (What a guy!!!). Also, the 98-00 filters looks cheap while the 01+ filter looks dense and there is a center layer of charcoal filtration.
Following are the part numbers:
87139-30010 for 98-00 GS (Photo - Right)
87139-50030 for 01+ GS (Photo - Left)
