Default plastic home weldering tip

Hi guys, i dont know if you knows this , but i want to share
a lot of plastics parts are welder using super bond and bicarbonate of soda
first drop 3 o4 drops of super bond, after drop the bicarbonate of soda powder over, don't put your finger, after drop more super bonder, this will be a rock
look the photo i left part w/o bond just to show

Fantastic. I assume the Baking Soda acts as a thickening agent to add some rigidity to the bonded area.

It seems it would be a lot cleaner and easier to just by the plastic glue (such as Loctite for Plastic) at the hardware store. What makes this process desirable over the liquid glue?

once i broked a fan blade and it had a strong sound (vibration) i went to see and found the tip of blade broken believe me. I did that and the fan still working silently til now.
It make a thick cover to improve stiffness i think

I had read a story 25 years ago about using this combination on a leaking motorcycle gas tank. The original idea was to just get the man back home cheaply, but it had stopped the crack from spreading for over a year before he actually repaired it.
As with all "legends", only seeing it is believing it.
