what's the deal with people running around with aristo v300/400
emblems so they can have a fake aristo. me myself included up until about an hour ago (DEBADGED) I was thinking that we're
all fooling ourselves, because we'll never have a real aristo unless
we import them. and then that's mucho bucks. not to mention the fact that the people over in japan are converting their cars over to become a fake lexus,GS emblems and all, I can understand the fact that we want aftermarket parts and wheels from the land of the rising sun but to change a LEXUS to a TOYOTA is just lame to me EVEN THOUGH IT'S STILL THE SAME THING except drivetrains
they get way more power and other little thingamajigs
PS let's not act like those 4cylinder space ship looking going nowhere fast but sounding like it HONDA cats
people help me understand

 

I think it is lame too.

Although putting a 400 emblem on a 300 is even lamer.

The only way I'd consider an Aristo nameplate is if I had a 6 cyl turbo.

 

I feel the same way about the emblems also.
changing a 300 to a 400 is the biggest crime around,I know of two people around my neighborhood that have done this not to mention the fact that the steering wheel is different along with a bigger engine

 

This was started by Ricers, you see the type R badges on anything with wheels and these powered by stickers are stupid too. I even saw a neon with powered by Vtec windshield visor and type R stickers all over it. I don't understand this trend and hoped Lexus enthusiasts would not go that route. I can understand if you fully convert your car to the Aristo incl. right wheel drive than it is justified that you put Aristo emblems on your car. Or if you put the 400 motor in your 300 or so on otherwise it just doesn't make any sense to me.

I like the de-badged look an all cars myself. All of my cars have been de-badged it adds a certain mystique to the car. Most emblems are ugly plastic chrome any way. I certainly know what kind of car I am driving and don't need to be reminded every time I walk around the back of the car.

 

Exacatly.. I hope my fellow CL members stay away far away from that trend because it's totally wack.the GS or any lexus for that matter is a symbol of class. so let's not mess it up,I've even seen typeR on a 318 "M3" what's up with that ? and my favorite of all time a acura legend that looked like a R34 skyline badges and all

Nobody should be ashamed to drive a Lexus it is one of the best cars made. If you own a 300 drive with pride don't put a 400 or 430 emblem on it.

 

I always like the accrods with the BMW steering wheel and rear emblems.

 

...and the aerodynamic M3 side mirrors.

wait, but i like aristos and celsiors more than their respective Lexus names...I just dont like windom and soarer so much. Oh wait, guys, I got a picture of this Land Cruiser out here in Tokyo last week with a misplaced "L" emblem and a Nissan motors sticker.
