Ok, while installing new brake pads today, came across this dilemma. I'm installing aftermarket Hawk LTS pads, but it seems to have shims pre-installed, whereas the factory pads to not. Should I still be looking to install the shims here on the aftermarket pads?

 

No you will not need to put the factory shims on it, the new pads should already have came with it
