Wow.. so this tire place just totally ripped me off today..
Usually i dont go to a shop to get my tires changed but i just moved and had a flat with no used tire shop around and needed my car to get to work today... So yesterday i bought 4 gs300 wheels with tires already installed with good amount of thread left... I thought hey ill just swap my rims for these and ill be good to go since i needed new tires anyway...
So i get there and the guy tells itll be done in around 40 min... so i go get a bite to eat with my girl and come back then im still waiting there and the guy comes to the car im in and tells me that these wheels had a stop leak liquid that caused corrosion to the rims and that they needed to grind it down and also that one had a nail in it and needed to be patched...im thinking like nah these were fresh wheels and tires the guy took very good care of em..
So when i go to pay hes charging me 40 bux for corossion in 2 tires and im just frustrated and mad cause i need to get to work but i tell the guy off still have to pay
Sorry just venting but cmon im not stupid this place was dirty 4 wheel swap came out to 70 bux!

Hold on. You bought them from a guy who took "very good care" of them.
How did you know the previous owner didn't inject stop-leak liquid in the tires before?
$70 sounds reasonable considering that they have to grind down the corrosion and rebalance the wheels.

I bought em from some guy who said he never put stop leak liquid i know that because i called him up and he said that he never did why would he lie to me lol plus they said there was a nail in them which i think is BS too cause i checked out the tire

Were the wheels chrome? or from salt state? 40 is barely half hour labor so not too bad and oxidation on wheels are very common with age, not from liquid stop leak though THAT i do think was bs. Unless they jipped you i think you got off ok. Its a ***** to clean.
