Check VSC light
Hey guys,
This is the first time I'm joining the forum so I apologize if I am posting in the wrong spot. I had my passenger side rocker recently replaced and when I had picked up my car I found that the "Check VSC" had popped up on my '08 IS250. I brought it back and then to Autozone and got a "p0300" reading. They said it was most likely a "random vacuum leak". I put in a full tank of gas and some GumOut. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Is the Check Engine Light on as well?
Random misfire codes are generally either a small vacuum leak or, perhaps nothing at all... I would suggest clearing the code and driving it for some time... How many miles on the car? Could also be a sign of slightly worn spark plugs or bad quality fuel...
P0300 is for a random misfire, which means more than one cylinder and most likely the ECU can't determine where the misfire is...
So, again, reset the light and keep driving it, won't hurt anything and if it comes back, perhaps it will come back with more information as to a specific cylinder. If you had a good diagnostic tester, you could see which cylinders are misfiring and how often, which could lead to a more specific diagnosis...
