all the rears still work?

if so, and none of the fronts work at all, I would put my money on the stock amplifier...

best bet to start diagnosing is to check the speakers to see if they work at all... easiest way to do this is to take a battery, 1.5 v AA or even a 9v battery will work... get some leads and touch the battery to each speaker independently - you should hear a small pop or click... if you get nothing, then the speaker is blown... if you get a pop, then your speaker should at least be outputting some music, even if it doesn't sound good...

although there are ways to test the amp independently, its much more than I could explain here... but, if your speakers click when pinned with the battery, then I would bet amplifier, but it could still be the head unit...

if all speakers are not working at the same time, culprit would be amp. But if only some, then it would be the speakers themselves. Check connections are still intact. To check to see if the speakers are still good or not, isolate the speakers and OHM test it, if it shows "OL" or infinite resistance, the speaker is toasted.

An amp can lose just one channel, two channels, or the whole thing, so just saying that if all speakers stop working that its the amp, or that if just one speaker stops working that its not the amp is not completely unfounded, but not completely realistic either... not only that, but, the amp only works if it gets a signal, and in the case of the IS's at least, the front to rear fader is inside the head unit, so, if the head unit is not giving the amp a signal, then no sound will come out...

on that note, are you sure the fader is not biased just to the rear?

and the ohms test works, but a small battery is much easier than a voltmeter, IMO...

Nothing comes out of the front speakers at all and everything just comes out the back. Do i need to take the speaker out to check with a meter? Anyone have a link to the wiring?

just remove the speakers and there are 2 wires in the back of the speakers you can take a battery and hook it up to the speakers and it should make some noise if the speakers are working. Or you can get a meter and set it to OHMS and how it up to the speakers wires, if it doesnt show a small ohm reading of 8 ohms or less its good. If it's showing INFINITE OHMS or "OL" the speaker is no good.
