Rust!
I have a spot of rust on my hood where the driver-side windshield wiper touches the hood. I haven't inspected it very closely so I don't know if its on the surface only, or has done some serious damage.
I just bought the car a couple of months ago from a small car lot. I've got 75K miles so I'm passed the regular warranty.
My question is:
What is (if any) the rust and body protection warranty for the 99 GS400?
I didn't receive any paperwork or user manuals for the car so this is a shot in the dark. Hopefully if its just a spot I can sand down and primer before anything serious happens. I'm still telling myself, or lying, I got a good deal on the ride.

Well if it's rust then it's like cancer, spreads really fast so try to take care of it a.s.a.p. Has to be sanded right down to the bear metal then you can see what the metal looks like and take it from there. I wouldn't mess with it, take it to a shop.
I believe there is some anti corrosion warranty just not sure of what the details are off the top of my head. . Call the 1-800#
