struts and springs

Default struts and springs

so my 98 gs400 is making alot of noise in the rear i belive its the shocks. called lexus and quoted me a price of $92 dealer discount..and i looked into some spings, found tien spring full set fro $340 1.8" front nd 1.7"rear. should i buy stock struts? i want a 2" drop but i cant find any...any suggestions?

It can be the struts, bushings, endlinks, or even a loose bolts. Make sure you replace the correct part.

im pretty sure its the springs it has about 130k miles on it, i hear the dam thing make to much noise the ride is not smooth! annoyin!

Springs should not make any noise with age. They could start to sag but should not make noise. I would think other suspension parts are making noise, as BDSL had said.

i know not springs, im thinkin rear strusts...i want to replace the springs either way so i can lower the car
