Minor body damage at Lexus Dealer
Hey fellas,
I was hoping to get some advice. I had my 98 GS at the dealer last week for an oil change, and when I picked up my car there was minor damage on the front bumper. There are a few scuffs that are the kind that cant be buffed out, and some paint was removed. After I brought it to their attention, they said no problem, they would take care of it. Heres the part where I can use some advice. I asked my service rep how it was going to be repaired and he said that that section was going to be resprayed. I questioned if they were going to do the whole front bumper and he assured me that it would be just fine by respraying that section. I bought the car CPO last November and right infront of the rear wheel torward the bottom. They must have re-sprayed a section and there is some overspray, which is what I want to avoid on the front bumper. Should I press the issue to have the whole bumper re painted? In the grand scheme of things, its not that important...not the end of the world, but nevertheless, its frusterating having your "baby" damaged at the dealer who I trust . For those of you still reading...Thanks!
What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Rob

I would demand that they respray the whole front bumper, it was there fault that it got scuffed and they should take care of it and fix it so it looks like new.

IROCHOTROD,
What dealer on LI did this happen at? I would push for the whole bumper to be repainted personally. I wouldn't want there to be a bigger spot on the bumper where the factory paint and new paint meet up, it would **** me off. Good luck

GS430 Guy,
It was Lex of Massapequa. I never had a problem with them. In fact, I think/thought their service was top notch. I guess I'll wait and see. Im bringing it tomorrow.

They are top notch, I purchased my car from them, but I have my car serviced at Rallye Lexus, which I have heard some horror stories about them denting cars accidentally in their lots. Best of luck and keep us updated on the outcome.
